Two-Fold Revenue Increase in 2008
January 19, 2009 – Photo Card Café, Inc. (www.PhotoCardCafe.com – PCC), a customer-focused photo card Website offering personal, premium-quality greeting cards, announcements and invitations, announced an unfathomable 100 percent growth in sales revenue for 2008 after only its third year of operation.
“We’ve worked incredibly hard over the past three years to arrive at this success within our company,” said Sara Watterson, president and CEO of PCC. “In such an exciting and competitive industry, PCC is consistently growing and thriving each year. It’s fun, but also challenging each year to see how far we can go with PCC.”
“We plan to significantly increase the amount of card designs on the site this year, as well as create some new functionality for users to get the best experience possible on our site,” said Sara Hejl, CMO of PCC. “Our recently-added Valentine photo cards are creative and fun avenues to express wishes to family and friends for the holiday. We’re preparing to preview our upcoming birth announcement, wedding save-the-date and holiday photo card lines, and are excited about the card choices our customers will have in the coming year.”
“The market is unbelievably large for our type of business,” said Watterson. “We’ve only begun tapping the surface of the photo card and announcement industry. Customers love our unique cards, exceptional customer service and affordable pricing. We will never compromise on these three offerings. This is the reason for our growth last year and our upcoming success in 2009.”
About Photo Card Café
Photo Card Café began its Web presence in June of 2006. Sara Watterson, president and CEO, created the site from the ground up. While working in Edmond, Okla. as a Web and print designer for years, and then becoming a stay-at-home mother with her own design firm, PCC thrived and swelled as an online business. With an extremely successful 2006, Watterson decided to bring on longtime friend and college roommate Sara Hejl of Austin, Texas as her CMO in 2007. Hejl spent seven years in advertising and PR, and, becoming weary of the agency race, quit her job in account service to assist Watterson and become a stay-at-home mom herself. Now that the business has expanded considerably, "The Saras" are enjoying double in sales revenue from 2007 to 2008, and sees 2009 as an incredible year for company growth.
